My story

Hi, I'm Douw Bodenstein, an ETA qualified Personal Trainer. Throughout my 30-year career in the security industry, I always prioritised my physical fitness.
However, as I got older, I started to feel my body deteriorating and experienced aches and pains. That's when I decided to create AgeWell, a fitness studio that specifically focuses on the needs of older people. At AgeWell, we believe that low impact exercises like Tai Chi can help fight aging and keep both the body and mind agile. Our slogan, "Stay Active. Stay Independent." perfectly captures our mission.

My Vision

Welcome to AgeWell, where my vision is centred on fostering physical, mental, and
emotional well-being through the timeless practice of Tai Chi. In this haven, I am dedicated to creating a welcoming and inclusive space for individuals of all ages, placing a special emphasis on those seeking to elevate their balance, flexibility, and overall vitality.
At AgeWell, I firmly believe in the profound transformative power of Tai Chi. It serves as
more than just a physical exercise; it is a holistic approach to living. My mission is to guide my students on a journey to age gracefully, encouraging mindful living, and helping them embrace a life that is not only healthier but also more fulfilling.
